Estúdio Junto Ao Vivo 007: Cashu Cover

Tickets

Description
New York based Brazilian collective Estúdio Junto brings a lineup of Brazilian DJs to play a mix of Brazilian funk, club and electronic music. At the center of our night is Cashu, whose work with São Paulo’s Mamba Negra helped shape an entire generation of Brazilian club culture. Her sets pull from techno, club, and Brazilian rhythmic language with a physicality that comes from years of paving the lane for parties like ours to exist. There’s tension, release, and a deep sense of intent in how she moves a floor. Papi Weli is returning to AO VIVO with the high-pressure style he’s become known for in New York and beyond. Flying in from Oakland and joining us for the first time is Felipe D: a São Paulo-via-California artist whose mixes carry a distinctly queer rave sensibility that we've been excited to welcome for a while. To round out the night, we're excited to welcome back Anna Pura to our stage, whose set at AO VIVO 002 showed off her maximalist, textural, yet refined approach to selecting. This night continues what AO VIVO has been building: platforming Brazilian artists, inviting tempo to shift with intention, and building a space we've always wanted outside of Brazil. A few years ago, Estúdio Junto was born out of a dissatisfaction with how Brazilian music, talent, and art was being reflected in NYC and beyond. We are humbled by the care that our community has shown our work and each other. We're excited to have you join us on the dance floor. ■ No photos or videos ■ Ticket purchase does not guarantee entrance ■ No phone use on the dancefloor ■ The dance floor is for dancing, not conversation ■ Consent is mandatory ■ Zero tolerance for racism, homophobia, transphobia, sexism, ableism or any form of discrimination ■ Take care of each other, alert our staff if somebody isn't feeling well ■ Violating the house rules will result in removal
