Nyd: Ritual W/ Robert Owens + Ash Lauryn + Colored Craig Cover

Tickets

Description
After a raucous night of partying, we continue the celebration with Ritual, presented by Hue Hallums. Chicago's Robert Owens has been making house music "before house had a name." One of the most distinctive voices in the genre, Owens has produced some of the greatest tracks house music has witnessed: "Tears" alongside Frankie Knuckles + Satoshi Tomiie, "Bring Down The Walls" with Larry Heard, as well as solo releases "I’ll Be Your Friend" and "Mine To Give." Atlanta's tastemaker, Ash Lauryn, is an international DJ, curator, and cultural voice pushing the Black American roots of house and techno forward. Her acclaimed platform, Underground & Black—which began as a blog and evolved into a beloved NTS show—has become a cornerstone for honest storytelling and celebration within the dance community. Colored Craig is one of LA’s best kept secrets—a force of soul and technique whose jams, swings, and slams through all-vinyl sets today remain timelessly in touch with his warehouse appearances of the '90s. Ritual is a Sunday, queer-friendly dance party where everyone is welcomed and celebrated. The foundation of house music was built upon by the Black and Latinx communities in queer, liberated spaces. Ritual centers Black and Brown artists, uniting established and emerging DJs to honor the essence of music. Our goal is to unify, liberate, and transcend our sacred space of the dancefloor. - Public Records aims to provide a safer space.
