Happy Hour :: Cassidj

CassiDJ is drawn to DJing's duality: cater to the crowd, but still be yourself. They take pleasure in hopping from tech house to disco to queer hyperpop, but also enjoy the challenge of sticking to one genre. If the vibe is right, the vibe is right. CassiDJ started spinning during a pandemic-induced hiatus from their other creative pursuits, which include producing a queer variety show and fronting the indie rock band Boy Howdy!. Her decade of exploring the many creative pockets of Brooklyn nightlife (plus a brief stint in Berlin) has yielded a diverse and playful DJ style that gives the crowd what they want while surprising them with unique selections that transcend genre.
