Miami doesn't do fall, but we're doing it anyway. PeoplePlacesThingsMiami is throwing their first fall bash "Gourds Gone Wild" at Cervecería La Tropical with heavy-hitter DJs, and a bunch of fall activations including pumpkin carving, costume contests, and enough autumn chaos to make you forget it's beach weather outside.
We're partying with purpose: bring canned goods to donate to
OneWorld.OneHeart.Org, a local non-profit providing meals and hygiene products to Miami's unhoused community weekly. Dress like a PSL came to life, carve gourds, dance until 1AM, AND help people who need it.
THE LINEUP:
Kodat | MAP | Don Rey | Cush Creation (Hii Ricky b2b Siewave)
WHAT'S HAPPENING:
🎃 Pumpkin Carving Contest – $25 entry per two people, $5 from each purchase will be donated to Camillus House
📸 Photo Ops – Fall backdrops and props for your grid
☕ Pumpkin Spice Coffee Station
💎 Free Tooth Gems for the first hour and a half courtesy of @gemzoid_cosmetics
🍺 Tasting Station – Seasonal beer, cider, sponsor drinks
🎁 Giveaways + Merch – PPTM keychains, limited merch, sponsor products
THE VIBE:
Full fall-core. Oversized sweaters, leggings, Uggs, scarves, flannel, knee-high boots with mini skirts in Miami humidity. If your outfit doesn't scream "I just left a pumpkin patch and I'm posting 47 Instagram stories," you're not doing enough. Commit to the bit.
COSTUME CONTEST CATEGORIES:
• Fall Final Boss: For the one who shows up most dripped in pumpkin spice energy. The most exaggerated fall-core look takes the crown.
• Bestie Harvest: Two gourds, one prize for the duo that came locked in as a team. Matchy-matchy, complementary, or chaotic pair energy — as long as it screams fall, you’re in the running.
Winners get prizes and bragging rights.
