On Wednesday 12th of August, we'll all be looking in the same direction. 🌘 As the sun and moon meet above the Atlantic, we're opening Irmão for a late afternoon by the ocean to experience the solar eclipse together. Expect a relaxed gathering on the sand, ambient music during the eclipse, food & drinks, a little tarot magic and a DJ afterwards. Wednesday 12 August From 17:00 onward Before joining us, please read the information below so you know exactly how the afternoon will work. 🌘 CAN I STILL COME? Our restaurant and reservable beach spaces are fully booked, but you can still join us on the sand within the Irmão concession to watch the eclipse, order food & drinks and stay for the music afterwards. Please note that walk-ins (meaning people without a booking or a Shotgun RSVP) cannot be guaranteed eclipse glasses, so if you already have your own certified pair, bring them with you. 🎟 WHAT DOES MY SHOTGUN RSVP INCLUDE? Your Shotgun RSVP gives you access to the eclipse gathering and priority access to eclipse glasses. It does not include a table or reserved beach space such as a sunbed, salon or lounge. All restaurant and reservable beach spaces are now fully booked. 👓 WILL I GET ECLIPSE GLASSES? Eclipse glasses will be distributed in priority to guests with an Irmão booking and confirmed Shotgun RSVPs. Glasses are limited to one pair per registered guest. If you already have your own certified eclipse glasses, we recommend bringing them with you. For guests walking in without an RSVP or a booking, we cannot guarantee that glasses will be available. 🍸 CAN I ORDER FOOD & DRINKS? Yes. A dedicated bar and food service will be available for guests joining us for the eclipse. Guests with an existing restaurant or beach reservation will have access to our full menu and usual service. Please note that outside food and drinks are not permitted within the Irmão concession. 🏖 DOES MY SHOTGUN RSVP RESERVE A PLACE TO SIT? No. A Shotgun RSVP does not reserve a table, sunbed, salon, lounge or specific space on the beach. If you don't already have a restaurant or beach reservation, you'll be joining us on the sand within the Irmão concession. 🎶 WHAT ABOUT THE MUSIC? We'll keep things soft and atmospheric while the eclipse unfolds. Afterwards, a DJ will take over and the energy will pick up, with music continuing until approximately 22:00–23:00. 🔮 ANYTHING ELSE HAPPENING? It is a mystical day after all. Join us for a free tarot card reading from 17:00 to 19:30, available on a first-come, first-served basis. 🚗 COMING FROM LISBON? Come early. A lot of people are expected to head towards the coast to watch the eclipse, so allow extra time for traffic, parking and the walk to the beach.
