Kana Hishiya ( Los Angeles ) Dakin Auret ( Long Beach | Footwork Records ) Kana Hishiya is a Japanese DJ, Producer based in Los Angeles, California. Kana Hishiya’s sound spectrum is a dynamic fusion of house, techno, and various electronic music genres between and around. Her sets are known for their rhythmic complexity and eclectic selections, energetically weaving together dub, funk, acid, and breakbeat elements. Drawing from her early jazz, hip-hop, and reggae influences, she brings a unique blend of soulful warmth and underground edge to her performances. Whether it’s a hypnotic, late-night techno set or a groovy, sun-soaked house session, Kana’s versatility allows her to craft diverse musical journeys that adapt to any crowd or setting. Her intuitive sense of time and place, honed through years of dancing, keeps her sets fluid and immersive. ---- Dakin Auret is musically driven individual with a versatile style and a flair for the underground. His career started in California where he was influenced by an array of musical styles from Deep House to Reggae to Classic HipHop. In 2007 he returned to his native town of Durban where he soon held residencies at two of the cities major mega clubs, ‘the Origin’ and ‘Sasha’. In 2011 he teamed up with Durban’s stalwart DJ/Promoter Coco Loco to throw decent underground events with good names like Johnny D, Terry Francis, Emerson Todd and Carlos Mendoza to name a few.
