Resolute X Respekt Music Invite Theo Parrish

One of contemporary house music’s most respected names, Theo Parrish is celebrated for his unique, personalized interpretation of the genre, rooted in jazz, soul, disco, New Wave, and more. Debuting on Moodymann’s KDJ label, with whom he later formed the renown 3 Chairs project alongside Marcellus Pittman and Rick WIlhite, he quickly went on to found his own Sound Signature imprint to focus on his own work. More of a growing slow burn than an immediate sensation, Theo’s music slowly grew in stature as he refined his production style, going on to release many of Detroit’s most celebrated house classics of his era. Now an established legend and very much in demand for his searching DJ sets, Theo’s work continues to evolve as his stature rises. His recent releases highlight a loose, jazz-inspired atmosphere prominently featuring live musicians, many of them important Detroit players. Never a DJ to take the easy route, his appearances are lessons in groove, soul, and music history, often extended to epic lengths and exploring the sort of obscurities and dug out tracks that inspired his own unique style.
