10, 9, 8, 7, 6… le compte à rebours vers le décollage a commencé ! Le groupe parisien Setenta se prépare à fêter ses 20 ans de carrière en dévoilant son sixième album, Apollo Solar Drive. Ce disque s’annonce comme leur meilleur à ce jour, l’aboutissement d’une véritable odyssée artistique. Depuis leurs débuts, Setenta n’a cessé de rechercher la lumière, tout en explorant le côté sombre de la condition humaine. Comme le décrit le groupe lui-même, cet album est un hommage afro-latin rétro-futuriste au soleil. Si leur précédent opus, Materia Negra, propulsait l’équipage du vaisseau Setenta dans le vide de la matière noire et des trous noirs, ils changent aujourd’hui de cap et foncent vaillamment vers le soleil à pleine vitesse, nous emmenant des ténèbres vers la lumière. De manière miraculeuse, Setenta parvient à emporter avec lui une partie du matériel rythmique et harmonique exploré sur Terre, tout en osant aller là où personne ne s’est encore aventuré. Paris-based band Setenta is preparing for their upcoming 20th anniversary by releasing their sixth album, Apollo Solar Drive. The record is poised to be their best yet and is the culmination of an odyssey of artistic discovery. Setenta has been constantly striving for illumination through the years, yet also exploring the dark side of the human condition along the way. As the band describes it, this record is an Afro-Latin retro-futurist tribute to the sun. If their previous album, Materia Negra, launched the Setenta space shuttle crew into the void of “dark” matter and black holes, they now change course and valiantly approach the sun at full warp speed, taking us from darkness into the light.
