Night & Day: Anthony Rother Hybrid, Ken Ishii, Kyruh, + More

Night & Day on October 23 brings together several distinct histories of techno and electro. Frankfurt’s Anthony Rother presents his Hybrid set. Active since the late 1980s, Rother established himself internationally with Sex With The Machines and Simulationszeitalter, developing an unmistakable electro language around machine rhythms, vocoders and technology. His extensive catalogue includes his Psi49Net and Datapunk labels alongside collaborations with Karl Bartos, Sven Väth and DJ Hell. Tokyo’s Ken Ishii was among the first Japanese techno producers to establish a major international profile, beginning with releases for R&S Records in the early 1990s and continuing through more than three decades of production and touring. Mike Parker brings an equally deep history in American techno. Active since the mid-1990s, he founded Geophone in 1998 and developed a highly recognizable strain of hypnotic techno across releases for Tresor, Semantica, Prologue and Spazio Disponibile.
