We’re back at the beautiful Selva for another ₛ𝓌ₐₗₗₒ𝓌ₑ𝒹 ₒₚₑₙ 𝒹ₑ𝒸ₖₛ. For this edition we’re starting the night off with four 30 minute Vinyl sets. DM to claim! FLINTA DJs only! We’re excited to share that we’ll be joined by Undocumented Women's Fund for this edition! They’ll be stopping by on the early side to share materials ahead of their women’s day event Women’s Strike Fest. This year’s festival will be held on Sunday, March 8th in Maria Hernandez Park in Bushwick. Join them there too! Since 2017 a coalition of feminist, reproductive freedom, housing, immigrant justice, and other community organizations ,as well as union members, low wage worker organizations, mutual aid, and artist collectives have come together and taken on the streets to reclaim the anti-capitalist roots of International Working Women’s Day and revitalize it as a movement date in NYC. Since 2020, Undocumented Women's Fund has served as the anchor of that coalition and has been the motor behind the Women's Strike NYC Fest, which combines a rally with a feminist art festival. We’ll be half of proceeds their way and encourage you to donate to them directly at the link in our bio. At 8pm we’ll get into our regular groove with a raffle for 20 minute slots - vinyl & USB (or both!). We’ll also have some get-to-know you bingo cards so you can chat and learn more about your fellow DJs! Make a new friend and have a chance to win a prize! *ʷʰᶦˡᵉ ˢᵘᵖᵖˡᶦᵉˢ ˡᵃˢᵗ Come with your crew, a friend, a date—or come solo and meet some people. All levels are welcome! Just bring a USB, a pair of headphones, and whatever sounds you've been playing with lately, and connect with fellow local selectors and music lovers. HOW IT WORKS ~ Sign up with DJ girlcrush upon arrival ~ 6pm - 8pm: 30 min vinyl sets TBA ~ 8pm - 12am: raffle, 20 min slots, 2x tickets for FLINTA* DJs ~ raffle is generally drawn at the top of every hour for the next hour (ex. At 7pm for 8:00, 8:20 & 8:40) EQUIPMENT Bring your own USB & headphones. Selva has two CDJ 2000s, Pioneer 800 mixer, and two technic 1200s. PHOTOS AND RECORDING We are trying out different recording methods all the time and allowing photographers, videographers, and content creators practice as a part of this space. Please know if you come, your photo or video may be taken for promotional purposes. We will do our best to distribute content to the DJs who have played.
