Hon Jao

Hon Jao is the musical moniker of Jon Hao, Maryland and D.C. based violinist/DJ. Classically trained in violin and piano since the age of 3, he made the jump from classical to electronic in 2017, joining Baltimore based @Bunk Buddha on a series of festival and concert tours as well as in the studio before branching out to more collaborations with a variety of artists ranging from progressive house to (@Enamour, @Faceplant, @Ursidae, @Earth Ephect, @Neekola); all accompanied by soaring melodies on the violin to tug at heart strings. An integrated part of the conscious community, Hon Jao can also be found at activism gatherings, sound healing/meditation workshops, yoga/movement therapy events, and seeks to leave a lasting impact through his music that helps uplift people, and create a positive atmosphere in their lives.
