Father Sokka

Sobre

DC-raised Ethiopian rapper sailing out of D.C, aka The Uptown Princess needs more than just a listen—their lyrics require study. Known for raw lyricism packed with double and triple entendres, hidden messages, and the kind of layered wordplay that makes every replay result in a new discovery, Father Sokka is an artist who thrives on breaking it down, bar by bar. Giving a new take on what it looks like to be a DC rapper, Every track is a unique from the last—refusing to settle into one sound, this tactic is working. It’s music to stand on business, to move with purpose, and to honor those moments of vulnerability. Their debut project, Out The Wrapper, is an introduction and a warning shot. From beats that slap like a wake-up call to verses that demand rewinds, Out The Wrapper isn’t just an mixtape—but an experience with songs like “Wrap It Up” with witty wordplay praising safe practices to “WOAH” revealing a soft sort side of Father Sokka we haven’t gotten much of just yet.
