Medium Douce is the combination of four friends, percussionists keen on electronic music, who decided to set up a new project associating acoustic percussions with electronic machines. After several common experiences, the members of the group decide to create an unprecedented electro project. Their goal : bring the people to dance, by mixing the acoustic tones of the marimba, the vibraphone, the drums and various percussive instruments, to the electro music. Medium Douce combines the percussive and warm sounds of marimba, vibraphone and drums, with samples and synthesizers. The listener is transported into an immersive universe thanks to a wide palette of sounds and colors. This colorful and bewitching music can be both aerial and dancing, carrying the listener from one emotion to another. Each piece is an original composition. Nourished by many and diverse influences, the musicians draw inspiration from Steve Reich, Floating Points, Stephan Bodzin, Cabaret Contemporain and Four Tet. Respectives inspirations of the members are drawn into the project, bringing the originality of it.
