Originally from Northern France, Tomska grew up with his father’s funk, disco and jazz records, as well as the tapes his brothers brought back from their nights out in Belgian clubs in the early ’90s. Drawn to House music from an early age, he developed a strong connection with vinyl in 1996 and has remained loyal to the format ever since. Introduced to music production by Jordan Fields in 2001, he gradually developed his own approach, focused on groove, rhythm and hands-on work with hardware, including vintage digital equipment, in line with 90s production practices. Over the years, he contributed to numerous projects, particularly in drum programming, and regularly worked behind the scenes as a ghost producer. In 2010, he relocated to Paris and co-founded Vibes & Pepper Records with Cisco and Bryan. Between 2012 and 2014, he was responsible for the label’s artistic direction, shaping and initiating its releases, while Cisco handled technical matters and Bryan managed communications. During this period, he performed regularly across Europe, including Berlin, Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Utrecht, Barcelona, Vienna, London, Liverpool, Leeds and Stockholm. During his years in Paris, he formed a close connection with Jeremy Underground. A clear musical affinity led them to perform together on several occasions abroad, and Jeremy credited him at various points, both in interviews and on one of the MLIU compilations. Back in Northern France, Tomska founded Abstract Cuts, a label rooted in a clear 90s aesthetic, alongside Abstract Lab, his personal studio. There, he continues to produce, focus on drum programming and collaborate behind the scenes with various artists.
